A Message for You:
We see you. We’ve been where you are right now.
Feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn? We understand. Many of us at the It’s OK Foundation have walked in those same shoes, grappling with the weight of expectations, the struggle to find balance, and the challenge of navigating life’s ups and downs.
That moment of feeling adrift? It’s a part of the journey, not the destination. We’re here to remind you that it’s OK to feel this way, and more importantly, it’s OK to reach out.
You’re not alone in this. Whether you’re looking for support, resources, or simply a community that gets it, we’re here. No judgment, no pressure – just understanding and a helping hand when you’re ready.
Remember, seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a courageous step towards strength. And we’re here to walk that path with you.
It’s more than OK – it’s brave, it’s necessary, and it’s the start of something better.

Meet Steve Cooper,
The “Mental health Golf Guy”
Hi, I’m Steve Cooper, founder of It’s OK Foundation.
My journey hasn’t always been smooth. I’ve faced my own mental health challenges and felt the frustration of not finding relatable support. That’s why I created the It’s OK Foundation – to build the community I wished I had during my toughest times.
Through our foundation, I’m combining my love for golf with my passion for breaking mental health stigmas. We’re creating spaces where men can connect, share, and support each other without judgment.
I believe it’s more than OK to prioritize your mental well-being. In fact, it’s essential. Join me in changing the conversation around men’s mental health. Remember, we’re all works in progress, moving forward every day.

Why Golf?
Golf isn’t just a game for us at the It’s OK Foundation – it’s a powerful tool for mental health and community building. Here’s why it plays such a crucial role in our mission:
A Safe Space for Connection
The golf course provides a relaxed, judgment-free environment where men can open up naturally. As we walk the fairways, conversations flow more easily, allowing for genuine connections and shared experiences.
Mindfulness in Motion
Golf requires focus and presence, offering a form of active meditation. This helps reduce stress and anxiety, providing a mental break from daily pressures.
Achievement and Growth
The game offers constant opportunities for personal improvement, boosting self-esteem and confidence – key factors in maintaining good mental health.
Inclusive Community Building
Our golf events bring together men from all walks of life, fostering a diverse and supportive community united by a common interest.
Fundraising with Purpose
Golf tournaments serve as excellent fundraising platforms, allowing us to combine enjoyment with raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health initiatives.
Healthy Physical Activity
The physical aspects of golf – walking, swinging, and being outdoors – contribute to overall well-being, complementing our focus on mental health.
We understand that golf might not be the spark that ignites your passion or breaks your negative cycle. What works for us may not work for you, and that’s perfectly OK. That’s why we host a variety of community events beyond golf – from walks to workshops to creative sessions. Our goal is to help you discover the activity or outlet that resonates with you, ignites your spirit, and supports you on your mental well-being journey. Whatever makes you tick, we’re here to help you find it and thrive – together!
